WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The role reports to the Senior Director of Jordan NA Merchandising and will manage a team of Footwear, Apparel and Channel merchants across multiple levels. You will also support the GM Jordan NA Streetwear for key Footwear and Apparel workstreams and key Geo and Global gates. You will work in a highly matrixed organization and partner heavily with Global Merch, Sales, Planning, Brand, Ops, and x-Sport geography teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Sr. Merchandising Director of Jordan NA Streetwear. This role is responsible for leading the merchandising strategy for Jordan Footwear and Apparel inclusive of financial strategies, key franchise management, line planning, and leading a diverse Geo Merch team. The candidate needs to possess extensive merchandising and retail experience, as well as expert level business and product acumen. Ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with experience successfully creating, socializing, and leading others to execute against strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
- 10+ years of experience in merchandising and/or retail buying.
- Footwear, apparel and/or equipment merchandising experience
- Management Experience
- Consumer Industry and Insights Competence
- Strong Retail Acumen
- Ability to translate Insights and Retail Results into Actionable Strategies and Plans
- Experience developing and implementing Product Strategy
- Experience in multi-season Assortment Planning and Pricing
- Cross functional Leadership and Partnership
- Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to collaborate, influence and inspire across a complex and highly creative organization
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication up to the senior executive level and out to wide, diverse audiences.
- Excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of developing top talent
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a key member of the Jordan North America Merchandising Leadership team, you will bring a long-term lifestyle footwear and apparel vision to life via Consumer-led Product Plans and Assortment strategies. You will lead your team through the key moments of line planning, merchandising assortment review, and Geo merchandising handover to Sales. You will maintain direct feedback loops with the Geo Marketplace and Nike Direct Merchandising and Global Merchandising leaders to ensure Geo input is incorporated at each key moment.
YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
Line Planning
- Influence Global on future line planning, delivering specific Geo consumer needs.
- Builds & delivers FW and AP seasonal line plans (incorporating franchise & classification excellence, pricing and tiering, Global marketplace capacity, and financial health), leveraging an Assortment Framework.
- Drives the Integration of FW, APP, and ACC line plans to create head-to-toe x-Sport line plans.
Assortment Creation
- Ensures assortment strategy is comprised of an end-in-mind Must-Buy List (minimum viable) and delivers Lead, Play, Adopt, and Access assortments, including Concepts and key looks.
- Aligns with other Field of Play merchandising leaders on x-consumer topics and strategies and x-Field of Play
- Thinks End-in-mind, strategically creating marketplace distinction leveraging Lead/Play/adopt frameworks and account mapping.
Team Leadership
- Inspires excellence through partnership and collaboration, managing and leading through change.
- Grows and develops talent within the Merchandising function.

Jordan Streetwear GM and VP of Global Streetwear Merchandising, Streetwear Sales team, x-functional teams: Planning, Nike Direct Merchandising, Global Merchandising, Brand, and x-Sport counterparts.
