WHO YOU WI’LL WORK WITH

This position is an integral part of Responsible Supply Chain (RSC) Team for India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The role is based in Bengaluru, India and reports to the Senior Manager, Partner Responsibility, India. In your role, you will be actively working with the following key stakeholders: Nike RSC teams in both Regional & World Headquarters, Nike partner managers, manufacturing partner and vendor leaders in the country or in related countries, other regional RSC consultants (Risk & Issue Management, People and Human Resources, Environment), Footwear and Apparel Partner Management team, Government and Public Affairs, Legal, Engineering teams, relevant external stakeholders and other related groups. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior, Environment Consultant to be based out of Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating positive change, experience of working and influencing in complex environments, and an ability to find creative solutions to address persistent challenges. The successful candidate must think strategically and translate strategies into action with clear and aligned plans, maintain clarity and drive accountabilities throughout course of planning and execution of strategy. Communicate a vision and motivate others into action & enjoy driving organizational change. The candidate will bring:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in driving environmental strategy, management and monitoring (on Climate Action, Renewable Energy, Natural Resources Management, Net Carbon, Waste management, Water Management).

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering / Science / Environmental Management or relevant educational qualification.

  • Proven ability in executing environmental strategies and programs aimed at reducing impact on planet.

  • Knowledge of local, state and International regulatory requirements related to Environment.

  • Demonstrated project management capability, sophisticated analytical skills and ability to drive impact.

  • Excellent written, verbal and visual presentation skills including ability to influence and to storytelling.

  • Ability to interact effectively and quickly establish professional credibility with diverse colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Creative problem solving to develop collaborative solutions across stakeholders

  • Environmental certification like International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001, 45001, 50001, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) will be added advantage.

  • Computer skills are added advantage (Tableau, Airtable, Power BI, Smartsheet etc.).

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

WHAT YOU WI’LL WORK ON

In this role, you will lead the deployment of Nike’s enterprise sustainability strategy across manufacturing partners in India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive environmental impact, manage risks, and support global initiatives. You will:

  • Lead functional area deployment in alignment with Nike’s sustainability strategy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to develop and implement impactful initiatives.

  • Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to set expectations and track progress.

  • Provide consultancy, training, and capacity building to suppliers and internal teams.

  • Proactively manage risks and identify innovative mitigation strategies.

  • Share best practices, identify challenges, and develop solutions to meet sustainability targets.

  • Stay updated on current on environmental regulations and ensure timely communication across relevant teams.

  • Support the RSC global team through active collaboration

  • Represent RSC in engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
