Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Senior Concept Designer to join our Kids Concept Design Team. Concept Design at Nike defines the future, merging innovation, athlete insights, product design, and brand storytelling to create the ideas that shape the brand. Concept Design is the creative force that ideates, illustrates, and guides Nike’s key initiatives for athletes* around the globe.
As a Senior Concept Designer, you will collaborate across multiple teams and mediums, including art direction, motion, graphic identity, and spatial design, to bring ideas to life. This role requires someone who is not only imaginative and highly skilled in their craft but also a team player who can take creative strategies and big ideas and turn them into compelling visual narratives that resonate across the Nike organization.
What You Will Work On
As a Senior Concept Designer, your mission is to shape the worlds around Nike’s most important initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including product design, consumer insights, merchandising, and brand marketing, to translate opportunities into bold visual identities that inspire athletes and consumers globally.
Your day-to-day could involve brainstorm sessions, photoshoots, traveling, collaborating with agencies, or crafting presentation materials. You will use your problem-solving, creative direction, and storytelling skills to bring concepts to life and ensure that Nike continues to innovate and lead in the world of sport and culture.
Who You Will Work With
In this role, you will report to a Creative Concept Senior Director, depending on the specific initiative. You will work closely with your Concept Design teammates, product designers, brand teams, and external creative partners. Collaboration is key, as you will help align creative direction across multiple stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and cohesive vision.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- 4+ of professional design experience, within product, marketing, brand, or agency environments.
- A passion for the athlete, sport, and culture.
- Expertise across multiple design disciplines, including art direction, motion, graphic, and spatial design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and Keynote.
- Knowledge of 3D and Figma is preferred.
- A portfolio that showcases storytelling, art direction, and brand identity work.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high level of creative quality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive mindset, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage external creative partners.
- A high degree of curiosity, with a keen understanding of design culture, youth culture, and emerging trends in creative technology.
