WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Senior Location Planner will be an integral part of the Location Planning Team within Nike Direct Stores. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders from field and planning functions to develop store specific plans store to drive store performance, optimise revenue, inform product distribution, elevate margin and guide inventory levels. The role reports to the
Manager, Location Planning, EMEA.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the Senior Location Planner are responsible for planning and owning a weekly store level in-season targets to support Strategy Growth plans and drive store performance, optimise revenue, inform product distribution, elevate margin and guide inventory levels. You will use marketplace insights to develop the plan so that every store is best positioned to deliver both the longer-term commercial strategies and the optimal in-season performance. You will proactively seek out and drive initiatives to further support the Strategic Growth plans and set your team up for success through projects and cross-functional forums. This role is suited for a leader as well as a player with the candidate needing to represent Location Planning in cross functional channel forums as well as own, obsess and deliver on in-season store plans.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the below criteria;
Solid previous experience in Demand / Business / Assortment Planning, added benefit if in Retail.
Demonstrates problem solving & critical thinking skills.
Independent mentality to seek & drive process efficiencies.
Exceptional storytelling, communication and influencing skills.
Excellent grasp of retail finance and retail marketplace metrics.
Strong knowledge of planning systems, MS Excel. IBM Analytics & statistical forecasting knowledge is a plus.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Lead Location Planning representation is cross-functional channel forums.
Actively seek opportunities and take ownership of driving improvements in the Location Planning processes, implementing best practices, approaches & ways of working.
Drive and actively contribute to Nike Stores & Planning projects that will drive revenue, inventory health and improved forecasting accuracy to drive business forward.
Create ad-hoc analysis and reporting on store performance to optimize the target setting process and help educate key stakeholders on potential risks and opportunities.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to create store revenue forecasts that capture marketplace relevant insights, store specific trends and broader EMEA strategy.
Connect and communicate professionally with Retail Directors to create strong strategic and collaborative relationships to drive accuracy & efficiency in store plans.
Provide short & mid-term store level sales and retail KPI forecasts for portfolio of Nike stores across different sales channels.
