Senior Manager, Digital Platforms Business

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The role of Senior Manager- Digital Platforms & Growth reports into the Director, Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC), Canada. In this role, you will lead the Platforms and Growth team and collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams regularly. The key teams to partner with will be Merchandising, Demand Supply Management (DSM), Digital Marketing, Digital Operations, and SNKRS.

It will also be necessary to collaborate with other teams within the NDDC Business Unit. Establishing strong relationships with these cross-functional teams will be critical for success in this role.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a self-starter that can identify business opportunities, drive commercial moments and proactively lead a consumer offense to grow the Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) business.

This role is responsible for reading and understanding the NDDC business and defining quick plans of action based on weekly and seasonal results to maximize digital demand on Nike.com, Nike App and SNKRS Web. The candidate needs to effectively communicate results and insights to different levels of the organization.

Forging strong partnerships will be a critical skillset for this role as well as being able to influence and provide constructive feedback and input on assortment buying decisions and day-to-day product management on our digital platforms.

Other qualification requirements include:   

  • Minimum 5-7+ years of directly relevant experience in the following functions: digital commerce, digital (site) merchandising, digital marketing, digital products & experiences including 2-3 years of experience managing a team
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Experience with digital or physical retail, and/or digital platforms and understanding market dynamics and bringing creative/disruptive idea are highly preferred
  • Experience and understanding of e-commerce, app and financial KPIs is key
  • Strong ability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers to drive results, preferably in a matrixed environment
  • Experience working across a global, matrix organization will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data and act against business results, trends, and opportunities

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As an integral part of the NDDC Canada team, the business team is the hub for all business decisions related to our digital platforms: Nike.com, Nike App and SNKRS Web, and responsible for driving demand by obsessing consumer journeys and driving commercial moments that connect with consumers and members in engaging and compelling ways.

In this role you will –

  • Lead and coordinate efforts across a variety of teams to bring to life data-driven initiatives to Nike consumers shopping on our digital platforms
  • Lead the platform and growth team developing seasonal game plans and reading and acting on business and digital KPIs, product insights and trends
  • Deliver annual business budget goals for our digital platforms, focused on key marketing styles and driven by consumer sport strategies
  • Partner and collaborate cross functionally with Merchandising, Demand Supply Management (DSM) and Marketing to understand Consumers/Nike Member’s needs, drive locally relevant consumer experiences, and maximize business
  • Create business roadmaps reflecting seasonal key products, product walls, collection pages and member early-access/exclusive shops, leveraging brand/sports/retail moments
  • Elevate the Nike.com and NikeApp consumer journeys by optimizing online navigation, search results and product walls based on web analytic data
  • Manage/analyse sales trends and Consumer/Member data to share insights to broader group of teams and seek future opportunities to grow business sustainably and elevate our marketplace and brand presence
  • Build plans focused on reading and reacting to consumer needs and trends; also, plan and execute seasonal moments with x-functional team
