WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As our Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, Converse you will report to partner product creation director based in China and work closely with PPCO (Partner Product Creation Ops) director and CTS (Converse Technical Service) functional team (Material, Development, engineering, manufacture, costing, planning team etc) to understand business needs to delivery business result from product creation and manufacturing. You will also need to collaborate with both Headquarter counterpart in Boston and factory partners on both product development and product engineering/manufacturing.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Converse Footwear Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering – based in North Vietnam - to lead product engineering and manufacturing and engage on product development for assigned models to lead on time delivery with right product quality according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.
The candidate must be a flexible thinker, an outstanding communicator who is comfortable working cross-functionally. The candidate must also be excellent in both project management from brief to box and people management to drive towards clear and measurable business results.
This job will require full time base at Converse factory at North Vietnam
- Minimum of 8 years experience in product creation with strong Product engineering/Manufacturing background
- Fluent English in both writing and speaking
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver high-impact presentations and positive, influential communication on complex topic to leaders/peers at all levels.
- Problem Solving: Solves complex problems using limited information; implements solutions taking into consideration future implications. Works with non-routine information and develops recommendations to gain approval of ideas or services.
- Leadership: Accountable for meeting short-term to medium-term targets that impact the department or team. Responsible for performance management, pay and resourcing decisions for direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree required in the relevant or a related field, or any acceptable combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to locate to North Vietnam, and available for relocation.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As our Converse Footwear Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, you will lead and manage the team that is responsible for field product creation activities in support of footwear product strategy. You will partner and collaborate with CTS functions, H/Q counterpart, factory partners to delivery new product with right quality, right price in right time. You also need develop team to drive organization excellent.
Key day-to-day accountabilities include:
- Lead, coach, and develop a strong, empowered, and diverse team.
- Lead product management for commercialization and manufacturing to deliver right product to consumers in the right time. Activities include project planning, product engineering, product manufacturing, product excellent, problem solving etc.
- Partner with HQ, CTS functions and factory partner to optimize manufacturing process and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop and elevate factory partner’s capability to continuous drive product/process/people excellent.
- Align and deploy department strategies that enable our business goals.
