WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Working closely with teams across the enterprise - Consumer Creation, Nike Explore Team (NXT), Sourcing, Chemical Engineering, Modernization, Manufacturing Systems Engineering and our Manufacturing Partners - you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining the manufacturing systems, processes, and tools we rely on every day to deliver on our commitment to the athlete*.

As a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering on the Nike Footwear Product Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering team, you are part of a global team committed to delivering excellence to our product teams and consumers every day. Nike makes the best footwear in the world, and our manufacturing teams play an important role in driving manufacturing and product excellence and delivering the sustainable growth that will fuel our future.
Undergraduate degree, preferably bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical or science.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the footwear industry related to manufacturing, engineering, or development.
Demonstrated experience in working with multiple functions/stakeholders.
Experience in applying knowledge of Manufacturing Operations – systems, processes, technologies, and materials required to consistently produce finished goods to a measurable standard – to identify opportunities and drive progress against goals.
Understands the use of data and application of statistical methods and tools, able to leverage data for fact-based decision making.
Proven team player and people leader with ability to coach, develop and inspire.
Forward and Conceptual Thinking- Proactively seeks diversity of inputs and potential solutions; Consistently challenges the status quo and thinks beyond traditional solutions and approaches.
Fluent verbal and written English language ability. Proficient in standard MS Office programs, business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
On any given day, you will be accountable for ensuring manufacturing partners’ progress against Nike strategic goals and adherence to Nike’s manufacturing and quality standards. This entails partnering with Footwear Manufacturing Systems Engineering and manufacturing factory teams to evaluate effectiveness of global strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will work with Manufacturing & Engineering leadership and Partner teams to ensure standardized best practices are correctly applied at factory workshop floor; and that future-ready skills and competencies are developed.
You will engage in the development process which includes participation in product tear-down meetings and provide manufacturing feedback, identify potential risks and manufacturability challenges, drive issue resolution. Leveraging your footwear expertise, you will utilize appropriate assessment tools to scale new capabilities and innovations at the factory level, and ensure the manufacturability and manufacturing readiness of NXT technology.
As Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering you will also be responsible for managing the performance of the Manufacturing Engineering team, developing diverse and high-performing teams and leaders, and creating succession plans for key positions within the organization.
