WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

In this role you will work closely with the NA ACG merchandising team (which sits alongside the NA Running team) as well as the Global ACG Merchandising team.  You will collaborate with the cross functional NA ACG team comprising of sales, brand marketing, planning, and marketplace supply chain.  You will sit on the Running + ACG FW team and will work closely with the Lead ACG Apparel Merchant on the holistic NA ACG strategy.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced merchant who is self-directed, independent, and has a strategic mindset.  You must have the ability to drive high level strategic assortment intent and maintain a highly complex and intricate business at the detailed level.  This role will consist of managing the NA ACG Footwear line responsible for all day-to-day line plan management tasks (adoption, price updates, tagging, sample management etc.) as well as driving the seasonal assortment strategy. In addition, this role will also lead and mange the ACG apparel merchant and channel merchant with direct reporting lines.  Ability to manage high level as well as be in the details is critical.

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in merchandising
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising or a related field.  Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • Footwear, apparel, and/or equipment merchandising experience
  • Proven expertise in franchise management and understanding of retail key performance indicators and profit-based metrics
  • Strong strategy building skills that shape the future of the business
  • Effective communicator to varying audiences and levels of leadership

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role you get to work in a fast-paced environment on a highly dynamic business.  ACG is in its start-up phase, and you get to be an integral player in how we bring this incredible product to life for outdoor enthusiasts. 

  • This role works directly with the cross functional ACG leadership team and will sit in on weekly IBAs and IBEs. 
  • This role is a leadership role managing ACG FW, Apparel merchant and channel merchant.
  • Quarterly Business Review (QBR), Category Strategy Review (CSR), Leadership Strategic Review (LSR), Merchandising Assortment Review (MAR) and monthly franchise management are key gates for this role
  • Building trust and driving collaborative partnerships with global and downstream geo partners is a key component for success
  • You will be responsible for driving a holistic strategy for how ACG FW comes to life in the NA marketplace including determining product lifecycles, color breadth and depth, and marketplace segmentation and differentiation
  • You will manage all daily line plan management tasks including adoption, pricing, and maintaining accurate Visual Line Plans (VLPs) and seasonal tools
  • You will lead and manage the Apparel ACG Merchant as well as the ACG Channel merchant on bringing the complete vision to life for the consumer
  • You get to drive the ACG footwear business from top to bottom and will represent the NA geo in all key seasonal gates (MAR, LSR, Line planning).
  • In this role you will have significant autonomy and must be comfortable forging your own path
