WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Senior Manager, Origin Operations collaborates closely with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Nike Supply Chain, including nominated Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and factories at both tactical and leadership levels. Serving as a vital connector, this role bridges internal teams such as International Transportation Capabilities, International Transportation Operations, Trade and Customs, Product Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Delivery Excellence, as well as external teams including factories, Origin Cargo Management (OCM) LSPs, and Transportation LSPs. The aim is to ensure that origin operations are effectively executed across all locations and are continuously evolving to meet the key priorities of Nike Origin Operations. The position reports to the Director of Origin Operations, who is based in Singapore.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate for the position of Senior Manager, Origin Operations, to be based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, will possess the following key attributes:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree and brings a minimum of eight years’ relevant experience.

  • Demonstrates strong people management skills, with a proven track record of leading teams of 10 to 20 individuals in a control tower and/or origin operations environment.

  • Has experience in scaling teams and managing transitions by clearly defining and maintaining roles and responsibilities for team members.

  • Exhibits a solid understanding of supply chain operations, particularly in origin management involving factories, logistics service providers, and transportation carriers (including ocean, air, and truck).

  • Is familiar with origin operations and transportation management platforms, such as TMS and track and trace systems.

  • Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills across various management levels.

  • Thrives in fast-paced, global environments and maintains a results-driven approach.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will join the Origin Operations team, where your primary focus will be to develop and sustain a flexible and robust origin operating model. By leveraging standardised processes and technology, you will collaborate closely with both internal stakeholders and external logistics service providers to ensure efficient and effective product flow from all origins to destinations. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Building the Origin Operations Run team, concentrating on origin operations execution, exception management, adherence to processes and SOPs by factories and LSPs, tracking key milestones, handling factory documentation for trade and customs, and providing analytics and reporting for performance measurement.

  • Leading the Origin Operations Run team to manage and optimise end-to-end shipment operations, ensuring visibility, strict process adherence, and service excellence across Nike sourcing origins, from cargo handover at factories to shipment departure from origin.

  • Setting the direction and driving operational execution in origin management areas, including origin cargo management, container trucking, and international transportation management (ocean, air, and truck), all aligned with organisational goals.

  • Acting as a central liaison within Origin Operations and with cross-functional teams on origin operations processes, operating models, and opportunities for process improvement.

  • Driving continuous improvement in process efficiency across all aspects of origin management.

  • Periodically assessing team productivity and overseeing overall team management.

  • Guiding, mentoring, and inspiring your team to achieve excellence.
