WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be a part of the larger Global Technology organization working on Nike’s internal Supply Chain and Planning Technology (SCPT) and reporting to the team’s Engineering Director. You will work day-to-day with a team of engineers, the team’s Product Manager and Principal Engineers in the organization on software projects to achieve Nike’s business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We seek an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow high-performing software engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a passion for developing people, and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale solutions in a fast-paced, global environment. This leader will champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, foster a culture of innovation, and drive alignment across technical and business stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • 12 to 15 years of professional experience, with minimum 5+ years management experience of high performing software engineering.

  • Demonstrated experience leading full-stack DevOps teams, including development, testing, and operations.

  • Deep expertise in designing and implementing highly scalable, available and distributed based services and data-centric solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with distributed/cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), modern web technologies (Java, Rust, Python), and both NoSQL and relational databases.

  • Experience with supply chain domain areas (inventory, order, logistics, warehouse management).

  • Proven ability to deliver data products in Gen AI applications (POC or production).

  • Strong understanding of agile principles, Scrum, and product model delivery within large portfolios.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse technical and business audiences.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Lead, mentor, and develop multiple engineering teams focused on designing, building, and supporting SCPT platforms and solutions.

  • Set technical direction and drive architectural decisions for large-scale, distributed, and cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Principal Engineers, and cross-functional partners to deliver business value and align on enterprise-wide technical strategies.

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across global locations, ensuring clarity, transparency, and effective communication.

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture; support career development and performance management.

  • Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, automated testing, and agile methodologies, AI first approach, experience in using tools like Copilot, Cursor to increase team performance and productivity.

  • Contribute to strategic planning for future products, platform capabilities, and organizational growth.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and champion best practices in software engineering, security, and data management.

  • Support local initiatives to build and grow Nike Global Technology’s presence in India.
