This posting is for Korea Senior Merchant, Jordan, with strong marketplace and retail acumen, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment, and deep understanding of how to serve consumers through product line planning and assortment building.


WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As Senior Merchant, Jordan Korea, you will report to the Senior Director of Jordan Merchandising APLA (Asia Pacific Latin America), based in Beaverton, Oregon. You will collaborate closely with the Korea Jordan cross-functional team—including SMD, Sales, Planning, and Brand Marketing—as well as the Korea Nike merchandising team, APLA Jordan Merchandising, APLA Express Lane product creation, and other APLA partners. This role is embedded in a dynamic, consumer-focused team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a self-driven individual with a passion for consumers, sport, streetwear, and fashion. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills in both English and Korean, and thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment. You possess deep retail and merchandising acumen, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of the Jordan consumer and marketplace landscape. You are comfortable working autonomously, solution-oriented, and able to influence cross-functional partners across a large matrix organization.
Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
  • 5+ years of experience in Footwear, Apparel, Equipment, or relevant consumer product merchandising, product creation, and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand, or digital environment
  • Strong command of retail and/or digital metrics (sell-through, margin, full price realization, inventory, weeks of supply, etc.)
  • Proven ability to translate consumer insights and trends into clear strategies, product briefs, and action plans
  • Expertise in product line management and assortment creation, with a track record of driving long-term product line strategies
  • Experience developing strong working relationships with teammates and cross-functional partners locally and internationall
  • Strong influencing skills and comfort navigating a cross-functional organizational matrix—both in Korean and English
  • Attention to detail and commitment to process consistency


WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will play a crucial role in understanding the Korean Jordan consumer and business, generating insights to inform global and geo partners about product opportunities and needs, and curating the Jordan product line for Korea. You will build consumer-centric assortment plans for the full marketplace, blending fact-based and intuitive inputs to create segmentation and differentiation, driving long-term sustainable growth for the Jordan brand.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive and execute end-to-end assortment strategy, from line plan brief to retail execution across all channels
  • Gather and analyze consumer and marketplace insights to inform future line plans and hyperlocal product opportunities
  • Collaborate with Geo merchandising counterparts and territory cross-functional teams to drive priorities and ensure alignment with territory plans
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (SMD, Retail Marketing & Sales) to build holistic strategies that combine product, sales, and brand efforts
  • Lead internal seasonal downloads to communicate and align strategies and priorities with cross-functional partners
  • Present seasonal product assortments to retail partners, ensuring understanding of strategic priorities and capturing business opportunities
  • Prepare seasonal tools to equip marketplace partners with clear understanding of seasonal priorities
  • Support multi-season management for sustainable growth
