As Senior Merchant, Global Nike SB Apparel, you will serve as the global apparel merchandising leader for Nike SB—shaping product that authentically serves skateboarders worldwide. You will own global line planning and assortment strategy, bringing together consumer insight, marketplace nuance, and SB DNA.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be part of a highly collaborative Global Nike SB Merchandising team, working across Global and Geography Merchandising, Product Management, Planning, Sales, and Brand Marketing. This role partners closely with Finance, Operations, and Insights and has high visibility with the General Manager, contributing at the leadership table.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This Senior Merchant is a consumer-first leader with a deep affinity for product and a clear point of view on the Nike SB athlete. They bring strong retail acumen, analytical rigor, and cultural awareness of skateboarding and its evolving global marketplace. Comfortable moving at the pace of retail, they balance intuition with data to build credible, differentiated assortments.
They operate with autonomy and agility, influencing the product offering end to end—from insight through adoption—while managing multiple seasons and long-term franchise health. This person elevates the team through inclusive leadership, sharp communication, and the ability to influence across a complex, cross-functional matrix. A passion for learning, attention to detail, and commitment to craft are essential.
  • 4+ years of experience in Apparel, Footwear, Equipment, or relevant consumer product merchandising, product creation, and/or retail
  • Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, product creation or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • Proven experience translating consumer, sales, trend, and marketplace insights into seasonal and long-term strategies
  • Strong command of retail and digital performance metrics, including sell-through, margin, and weeks of stock
  • Footwear or Apparel experience within the skateboarding industry strongly preferred

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will build consumer-centric global assortments that honor Nike SB DNA while driving growth across a complex marketplace. Balancing multiple seasons, you’ll shape line plans, guide franchise strategy, and connect product stories to moments that matter—partnering closely across Merchandising, Product, Design, Planning, Brand, Sales, and Geography teams.
  • Build and own global line plans and assortments grounded in consumer insight and marketplace nuance
  • Curate brand distinction by amplifying key ideas, franchises, and classifications across seasons
  • Partner cross-functionally to lead seasonal reviews, assortment building, and product adoption
  • Stay deeply connected to skateboarding culture and industry trends, applying insights to future planning
  • Present seasonal strategies and assortments to cross-functional and leadership partners
  • Conduct seasonal hindsight analysis, turning insights into clear actions for future seasons
  • Drive intentional head-to-toe apparel integration with footwear and adjacent businesses
