The NSRL team is a multidisciplinary team of researchers, innovators, and scientists who lead with sport science to help all athletes* in their movement goals. We deliver insights and innovative capabilities to drive the future of Nike products and services. The Research Operations team is critical to unlocking the physical and digital potential of the lab. This position reports into the Research Operations function and oversees our key internal and external partnerships.  

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking an experienced Partner Contracts Specialist to lead the full lifecycle of contract management for lab partners enabling global research efforts, from initiation and negotiation through execution and ongoing oversight of PO’s. The successful candidate will be a problem-solver, collaborative, innovative, results-driven, and a self-starter. The best candidate for this role has a proven track record for identifying opportunities to improve processes, superb interpersonal skills to develop close relationships with internal/external partners, and an eye for details. This role will require you to have extensive communication, collaboration, and influencing skills across a matrixed global organization. We are looking for someone who can move seamlessly across multiple tasks without dropping the ball. Ideally, this candidate has experience in sport science, research, academia, technology, health wearables, and/or sport industries.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 4+ years’ experience
  • Experience working in contract management, finance, or operations
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in database platforms and data analysis tools
  • Proven ability to work successfully across multiple disciplines and organizational levels
  • Ability to build successful relationships and maintain existing ones
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, leadership and partners
  • Strong willingness to get into weeds to directly solve problems, while identifying opportunities for long-term process improvements
  • Experience in sport research, science, biomechanics, sport industry and/or health/fitness wearables is a plus

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will lead the execution of the partner vision for the NSRL as the key point of contact between our partners and internal teams regarding the contracting and finance processes. You will work with NSRL business owners to understand partner needs and lead the prioritization of work with key stakeholders across legal, privacy, and risk management.  You will streamline the contracting process and troubleshoot vendor setup and finance issues.

You will also:

  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including tracking deadlines, monitoring performance and handling amendments or modifications
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving contract-related issues
  • Leverage the NSRL partner database and workflow automation to accurately track contract requests
  • Partner with Nike legal and privacy to support contract creation, renewals, extensions and amendments
  • Partner with risk management to ensure partners are compliant with data security policies
  • Develop and deliver reports on contract lead-times and performance
  • Streamline the process for equipment, software, and technology purchases
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes and procedures
  • Assist with logistics for partner engagement events
