WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Reporting to the Director of Canada Planning, the Senior Planner partners cross-functionally with Business Planning, Supply & Inventory Management, Sport Marketplace Directors, Merchandising, Sales & Marketplace Supply Chain Operations to deliver clear, thoughtful, data driven demand plan and business decisions. You will collaborate with and influence cross functional partners to inform pre-season and in-season risks & opportunities to drive a rolling demand plan forecast in the assigned Sport(s) for Canada.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Seeking an analytical and collaborative Senior Planner to support the Canadian wholesale business.  This role is responsible for delivering a style x colour level country demand plan against the assigned sport(s) that directly impact financial targets.  The ideal candidate will shape the seasonal plan to support the goals of Nike - Sport, Consumer, Marketplace and provide a clear demand signal to drive financial, sourcing and capacity plans. A strong understanding of retail KPIs is essential, along with advanced Excel skills to manage and interpret complex data sets.  Success in this role requires a team-oriented mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally.  Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and passionate about driving insights and results through data.  This candidate will own the Country demand plan in SAP/APO and 09 Assortment Planning’s multi-season rolling forecast to capture key franchise stock and sales plans.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising or combination of relevant education and planning related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.  
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience in demand planning, buying, financial planning and inventory management.
  • Experience in SAP - AFS/APO, Cognos, Tableau and knowledge of O9 Assortment Planning Solutions is preferred.
  • High level of proficiency of MS office, advance level in Excel.
  • Ability to concisely present complex information/recommendations in meaningful terms to various audiences.
  • A deep understanding of how to use data to drive decisions and communicate business needs effectively.
  • Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentation.
  • Experience in demand planning and understanding of retail and inventory planning
  • Experience in a vertical or wholesale organization is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working on providing a Country style colour-level demand plan based on the assigned Sport(s). You will use data analytics and cross functional input to support demand forecast and inventory investment for pre-season and in-season. You will need to understand product, marketplace, retail data and marketing strategies to capture risks and opportunities in the stock and sales plan. As a Senior Planner, you will work closely with cross functional teams to achieve revenue, margin and inventory targets through improved forecast accuracy. You will forecast demand planning metrics through seasonless ladder plans for key franchises and classifications, gather marketplace insights and forecasts, and align with the organization’s strategies.
