WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Senior Planner, Retail Planning – NVS Apparel is responsible for leading financial planning and in-season management for the Canada Nike Factory and Clearance store business. This role plays a critical part in driving the end-to-end planning process across Apparel, partnering cross-functionally with Merchandising, Allocation, Finance, and Stores to deliver against revenue, margin, and inventory targets.
The Senior Planner translates consumer and business insights into actionable plans, ensuring the right product, in the right place, at the right time to maximize profitability and support the NVS business in achieving its financial objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Develop and manage consumer x division financial plans across revenue, margin, inventory, and profitability.
- Build and deliver seasonal and annual plans aligned to NVS business strategy and financial targets.
- Lead forecasting across product categories, consumer segments, and store clusters, leveraging insights to drive accuracy.
- Continuously analyze business performance to identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions to optimize results.
- Drive in-season management, adjusting plans based on performance trends and evolving business needs.
- Partner with Merchandising and Allocation to optimize inventory flow, markdowns, and promotions.
- Manage inventory health by monitoring WOS, product flow, and allocation effectiveness across Factory and Clearance stores.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Merch, Allocation, Finance, and Store teams to ensure aligned and informed decision-making.
- Act as a key connector across teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and execution against business priorities.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to track performance and support data-driven decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Drive a culture of analytics, accountability, and continuous improvement within the planning function.
- Analyze store performance and capacity to optimize assortment depth, SKU productivity, and space allocation across Factory and Clearance stores.
- Partner cross-functionally to develop initial assortment strategies, inventory builds, and flow plans for new stores.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will partner cross functionally with Finance, Merchandising, Allocations and US partners.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Ability to concisely present complex information/recommendations in meaningful terms to various audiences
- A deep understanding of how to use data to drive decisions and communicate business needs effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in retail and space planning and understanding of financial, product and inventory planning
- Strong understanding of merchandise, consumer, and FOP as it relates to Nike Direct strategy
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Requires a minimum of 5 years Retail & Assortment Planning experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
The annual base compensation for this position generally ranges from 81K to 122k. Actual compensation will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
