WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role sits within the Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Communications team, partnering closely with the Pacific leadership team as well as with local, regional and global communications counterparts. Reporting to the VP of APLA Communications, you’ll collaborate across the geography and manage external agencies and contractors.

This individual thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and can craft compelling narratives that elevate Nike’s brand. They bring deep expertise in corporate communications, media relations, and issues management, coupled with the ability to collaborate with senior executives and navigate a global matrix. The ideal candidate is passionate about sport, creative, and adept at building trust with diverse stakeholders while driving innovative communication strategies that resonate with athletes.

  • 12+ years of professional experience in corporate communications or public relations for globally branded organisations; experience in footwear/apparel industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, PR, English, Communications or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, issues management, and media relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit across print, multimedia, and digital formats.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You’ll lead communications for Nike’s Pacific, shaping strategies that inspire and connect with internal and external audiences. Your work will amplify Nike’s position as a leading sport and innovation brand.

  • Develop, adapt and execute integrated internal and external communications plans for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Craft innovative strategies that engage key audiences and elevate key Nike stories.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders, including the VP/GM of Pacific.
  • Manage agency relationships, budgets, timelines, and approval processes for internal and external communications.
  • Support global communications initiatives and events, ensuring alignment with Pacific priorities.
  • Collaborate with sports marketing teams to drive impactful athlete storytelling.
  • Build strong relationships to connect with key stakeholders for the Nike Brand.
  • Manage a global matrix, fostering collaboration across teams.
