WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a visionary Senior Principal Concept Designer to join the Jordan Brand Energy Design Team. This role leans into our consumer insights to create the moments that become culture. Concept Design is the future-forward creative function of Jordan Brand, where disruptive ideas are born, shaped, and brought to life, bridging the worlds of emerging innovation, global athletes and cultural movers and collaborator insights. We drive all things culture, design, and brand storytelling to develop the ideas that will continually ignite energy for the entire brand.

Candidates for this role MUST be collaborative, imaginative, and tactical, as they will turn creative strategy and big ideas into such things, but not limited to, visual art direction, product and graphic design, and all forms of storytelling to bring to life our Energy Creative Vision and Strategy.

In partnership with the Senior Global Creative Director, the Senior Principle Energy Concept Designer sits at the intersection of innovation, sport, style, and storytelling, connecting consumer/muse insights with creative instinct to define what’s next for the brand. Together, in partnership with the extended Product team leads, consumer insights teams, brand and marketing teams, you’ll aid in crafting bold, new creative worlds to unlock cultural impact, memorable storytelling products and moments to push a creative vision that moves the needle globally. From early-stage idea generation to visual identity, storytelling, and product expression, you’ll bring holistic, culture-led concepts to life with imagination, precision, and purpose.

You’re a multi-disciplinary thinker and world-builder. A Creative “Swiss Army Knife”. Your thinking is expansive, your taste is sharp, and your execution is world-class. You are an extension of the Senior Global Creative Director, responsible for execution and vision-mapping across Energy concepts ideas and worlds that span a variety of disciplines. Everything from compelling narrative-building to branding and graphics and design systems and shaping immersive brand moments that resonate across channels.

As a candidate for this role, you are highly collaborative with a passion to grow into a future leader and with the ability to assimilate across a range of inputs. Youth culture, athlete, tastemaker, and business insights come together to inform creative strategy, brand identity, and world-building that activates the Jordan Brand organization around your ideas.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You are truly a multi-faceted creative with end-to-end thinking, who lives and thrives in both blue sky thinking; crafting and executing all materials and navigating how to bring your ideas to life. In partnership with the Senior Global Creative Director, you’ll identify opportunities, build ideas, visual identities, and craft how those ideas connect and create cultural impact with consumers around the world.

Any given day can consist of big brainstorms, photoshoots, inspiration travel, gathering consumer insights and meeting with collaborators and third-party partners, just to name a few.  You will concept the ideas themselves and deploy your combination of strategy, know-how, and implement your world-building skillsets to illustrate those ideas for the team and organization.

This is a rare opportunity to define a new era of Jordan Brand Energy — and leave your fingerprint on culture.

IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL:

  • Lead the creative development of Jordan Brand’s Energy Concepts— high visibility, limited-edition ideas that amplify the brand and spark global attention and mindshare.
  • Translate cultural insight, athlete inspiration, and brand strategy into unforgettable product and storytelling moments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape every aspect of the concept— from strategy decks to visual direction to campaign storytelling.
  • Stay plugged into the evolving cultural landscape— music, sport, tech, art, fashion etc. to bring fresh, relevant inspiration into the brand.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally— An exceptional cross-functional collaborator with a team-player mindset and leadership energy that elevates the room.
  • Demonstrate versatile problem-solving and multi-disciplinary fluency— Navigating both big-picture thinking and detailed execution across strategy, product design and graphic design, art direction, storytelling, 3D/AI, visual identity, and more.
  • Think End-to-End—Shape an idea from concept to execution.
  • Operate as a creative generalist with deep expertise— with the ability to flex into adjacent disciplines.
  • Hybrid Creative Operator: Moving fluidly between connecting, directing, and building with deep creative instincts and a track record of turning strategy into breakthrough ideas.
  • Have a relentless curiosity for what’s next— and the talent inclusive of third parties to help create it.

You have an insatiable passion for creativity and are committed to staying on top of current and future trends in design, creative culture, and technology!
