WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Nike Kids Marketplace Director (SMD) will lead a squad across Merchandising and Marketing to deliver commercial results and shape the Marketplace in service of Consumers and our Customers. The Nike Kids SMD sits on the Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA) Kids Leadership teams and will work closely with teams both locally and at the APLA HQ in Beaverton, Oregon (USA). The Nike Kids Marketplace Director will report into the VP/GM of APLA Kids with a dotted line to the VP/GM of Nike Pacific.

- A strong commercial background with a proven history of driving results across Retail, Sales, Merchandising and/or Marketing.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to analyse and synthesize consumer and marketplace data to share across teams.
- A strategic thinker and a doer: someone who can zoom out and connect dots across teams, while rolling up their sleeves to bring ideas to life in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Passion and knowledge for Sport, Retail, and the Kids business, including the appetite to manage a diverse portfolio of consumer needs and products across ages, stages, and sports.
- Familiarity with business growth levers and functions including Merchandising, Marketing, and Sales.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As the Nike Kids SMD your primary focus will be leading the local (Pacific territory) Nike Kids offense, driving commercial results and shaping the future marketplace.
- Partner with the APLA Nike Kids LT and Pacific LT to develop the Nike Kids strategy and business plan and tailor it to the unique needs of the Pacific territory
- Lead the local Niks Kids teams through the seasonal Go-To-Market process including close partnership with Pacific Merchandising, Marketing, DTC, and Sales.
- Conduct territory specific analysis and make recommendations to inform and influence strategy and seasonal priorities.
- Inform and influence seasonal marketing priorities and execution, including partnering to drive integration of Kids into adult-led marketing campaigns & activations.
- Inform and influence seasonal and annual targets, in partnership with your cross functional team (e.g. Local GM, Finance, Planning and Sales).
- Interface with key accounts in partnership with teammates in Sales.
- Drive commercial alignment and execution to deliver seasonal targets and a profitable pull market.
- Influence ongoing marketplace elevation and expansion of Nike Kids footprint at retail (DTC and 3PW)
