WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role sits within Korea Nike Direct and leads the Nike Value Stores (NVS) business, including Factory Stores and Clearance Stores. The team plays a critical role in Nike’s Direct-to-Consumer strategy by optimizing value retail while protecting premium brand standards.

The role partners closely with Korea Nike Direct leadership, including Stores and Store Operations & Services. It collaborates cross-functionally with Planning, Finance, Marketplace Operations, Retail Marketing, and Geography partners. The role directly reports to the Senior Director, Korea Nike Direct Stores based in Korea and works across both local and regional stakeholders.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is a seasoned retail leader with strong strategic and operational capabilities, particularly within value or outlet retail environments. This individual brings a balance of commercial acumen and brand discipline, with the ability to manage complexity and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

They demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills, are comfortable making data-driven decisions, and can translate strategy into clear execution plans. Equally important, they are collaborative leaders who can influence across functions and geographies while developing high-performing teams. Passion for sport, athletes, and Nike’s values is essential.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in retail management, merchandising, or brand management; outlet/value channel experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience driving revenue, margin, and inventory productivity in complex retail operations
  • Strong understanding of retail economics including margin management, inventory planning, and real estate performance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a matrix, cross-functional environment
  • Fluency in Korean and high proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will lead the strategy and execution of Korea’s NVS business, driving sustainable growth while ensuring brand-right marketplace execution. You will balance inventory productivity, consumer experience, and financial performance across the NVS fleet.

  • Develop and execute the Korea NVS channel strategy, setting clear business targets for revenue, margin, traffic, and inventory health
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators, partnering with Finance to ensure delivery of financial commitments
  • Work closely with Planning to optimize assortments, close-out strategies, rebuys, and markdown approaches to maximize inventory productivity
  • Partner with Store Development on real estate planning, including fleet optimization, expansion, relocation, and concept elevation opportunities
  • Collaborate with Retail Marketing to drive quality traffic and elevate the consumer experience while maintaining brand standards
  • Identify operational and marketplace improvement opportunities by leveraging industry trends and best practices
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Represent Korea’s NVS perspective in regional discussions and ensure global strategies are effectively localized
