As our Fixture Designer Center of Excellence, reporting to a Senior Manager Store Design or Design Director Greater China, you will be the fixture lead for new and existing concepts across all retail in Greater China. Working closely with both store and storytelling retail designers and internal cross functional teams this role will create net new retail concept fixture systems, as well as be the design lead for optimization and elevation of current fixture systems that support the existing retail fleet of stores.

Accountabilities:

  • Create new retail concept fixture systems for both apparel and footwear. This involves design concept ideation, design development, prototyping coordination, production execution and quality assessment
  • Create Kit of Part wall and floor fixture systems for apparel/footwear that responds to retail marketing and VM needs that considers maximum flexibility of fixtures for product, capacity needs, mannequin displays, storytelling and signage/visual needs
  • Apply knowledge of latest material technology, sustainable materials and their application to retail fixtures
  • Prepare visual deck materials for internal working teams and leadership presentations
  • Will manage fixtures systems across retail concepts on an ongoing basis where needed for concept elevations, design enhancements and cost efficiencies
  • Work with procurement teams to cost down new fixture system and components to meet budget targets and undergo annual value engineering exercises to maximize value while maintaining core design intent
  • Create and update Playbook content for new and existing fixture systems

Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial or Environmental Design and minimum of 6-8 years in retail and fixture design, preferably in sportwear apparel and footwear industries
  • Software skills in CAD, 3D Max, Sketchup
  • Proven exceptional ability to visually communicate fixture design intent through hand sketches or software modelling for ideation, material application, scale/dimensions, spatial layout and zoning etc
  • Highly effective communicator team player that can connect between relevant teams including visual merchandising, retail marketing etc
  • Knowledge of latest retail design and fixture trends both in China and globally, especially across the sportswear industry
  • Ability to coordinate with contractors/external vendors including design consultants and fixture manufacturers
  • A proactive, flexible and resourceful mindset is required for this dynamic environment
  • Experience in Retail Visual Merchandising, Visual Display, Retail Fixturing, Signage Programs for store, retail and/or tradeshow platforms
