WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will sit within the Converse Korea Marketing organization, partnering closely with Brand Marketing, Retail Marketing, Digital/Social, PR, IMP (Integrated Marketplace) Sales team to bring energy to life reporting to Director, Brand Marketing based in Korea. You will build trusted relationships with Seoul-based creators, crews, athletes, artists, and cultural connectors, and collaborate with external partners—energy brands, key stores/spaces, and community platforms—to co-create authentic activations. You will also align with Global Converse teams to share learnings, secure toolkits, and scale what works.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The candidate is a culture-first brand builder with 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, community, partnerships, or sports/fashion lifestyle marketing. They are deeply curious about Seoul and Korea’s main and subcultures and bring a credible, active network across creators, athletes, artists, and community leaders. They have a proven passion for both fashion and sport, and can clearly demonstrate impact through a portfolio, campaign deck, or specific case studies—showing how they shaped concepts, built partnerships, and delivered measurable outcomes. They understand how to translate cultural insight into brand-right storytelling and experiences that feel authentic to Converse.
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- 7+ years of experience across brand marketing, community/partnerships, sports marketing, PR, or cultural marketing (fashion/lifestyle preferred)
- Demonstrable network and credibility in Seoul/Korea culture & community; able to open doors and build long-term relationships.
- Proven track record shown via portfolio/case studies (partnerships, events, community programs, content series) with clear outcomes.
- Experience partnering with energy brands, key stores/spaces, and community platforms—bringing partner energy into the brand in a Converse-right way.
- Fluent Korean and working English communication skills for collaboration with regional/global teams.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will grow Converse Korea’s cultural relevance by building community-led partnerships and experiences in Seoul. You will connect fashion and sport through authentic creator collaboration, and turn local energy into campaigns, events, and retail moments that strengthen the brand and community.
You will:
- Map and manage Seoul’s key cultural communities (mainstream to subculture), identifying emerging voices that align with Converse values and product stories.
- Co-create activations with creators, athletes, and artists (events, workshops, music/art moments), ensuring experiences are safe, inclusive, and brand-right.
- Build partnership strategies with Seoul’s most representative energy brands and key stores/spaces—including collaboration and product development—and you introduce Global energy projects and product collaborations into Korea, bringing that energy to market through community activations, retail moments, and integrated storytelling.
- Translate community insight into integrated marketing—briefing content, social, PR, and retail teams to amplify local stories across channels and in-store touchpoints.
- Lead production realities: timelines, vendors, permits, budgets, and risk management—solving for constraints without losing the creative edge.
