WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role sits within the Nike Pacific Brand Management team, reporting to the Pacific Football, Brand Initiatives & Kids Brand Manager. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sports Marketing, Brand Creative, Retail, Digital Marketing, Media, and Communications, as well as external partners to elevate Nike Football across Australia.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing or community sports organizations

  • Prior experience in brand management or relationship management

  • Proven ability to connect with consumers and partners through insights and campaign execution

Advantageous experience:

  • Culturally connected in Australia’s football community, with a solid understanding of the different dimensions of the game (including both men’s and women’s football).

  • Proven ability to identify people and communities who are shaping the culture of football in Australia.

  • Track record of identifying sporting moments with marketing potential.

  • Knowledge of the football commercial landscape

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Football Senior Specialist, you will be part of the Nike Pacific Brand Management team, reporting directly to the Pacific Football, Brand Initiatives & Kids Brand Manager. Your responsibilities will include: 

Community & Grassroots 

  • Defining the Nike Football grassroots strategy in Australia, identifying key communities, changemakers, and organisations that align with our brand values and can serve as the human face of Nike Football in key cities (Melbourne and Sydney). 

  • Developing opportunities to collaborate with partners to fuel mutually beneficial objectives and amplify Nike’s brand narrative. 

  • Managing these relationships day-to-day in a robust yet sustainable fashion. 

  • Leveraging these relationships to enable the Pacific marketing team strategy and the cross-functional team to be deeply connected to the football landscape in Australia. 

  • Gathering structured and continuous consumer insights to better serve consumers on the ground and inform longer-term and seasonal concepts. 

Product & Campaigns 

  • Inputting into strategic brand plans and leading the execution of events and activation moments to drive brand and business impact. 

  • Organising the ordering, tracking and delivery of product requirements for key moments such as photoshoots, seeding and events.  

  • Leading the briefing of internal teams and external agency partners, and work with them to deliver reporting and campaign insights as required. 

  • Collaboration with our Paid Media, Digital Marketing and Retail Marketing teams on the coordination and roll-out of campaigns across marketing channels.  

Whilst this role is predominantly focused on global football (soccer), you will also work across local codes and key global sporting moments taking place in the city.
