Part of the Global Nike Concept Team, the Styling function sits at the heart of the product lifecycle process from conceptual ideas to retail reality. The team collaboratively creates the styling strategy and the end-in-mind vision for how Nike products come to life. Candidates for this role must be collaborative, imaginative, and tactical, as they will turn creative strategy and big ideas into a multi dimensional styling perspective for Nike Sportswear.

The candidate is an editor, effective communicator, and a collaborative teammate focused on crafting styling direction. They should be inspired to bring ideas to life through presentations both physical and digital, and posess a strong relationship to research, asset production, and concept building. They have passion and point of view towards sport and fashion, are committed to learning current and future trends in design and culture, and form critical perspectives towards them. They are crafting their sensibilities towards the nuances of style at large. 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • As part of the Global Concept Team, you will co-create the vision for how Nike Sportswear comes to life for the consumer, supporting the delivery of an upstream strategy that has end-in-mind reach.

  • You’ll work with the Creative Direction, Concepts Design, Product Design, Merchandising, Marketing and VM teams to build direction that will influence Brand Campaigns, the Retail Experience and our Digital Channels.

  • A given week can consist of research, design reviews, brainstorms, photoshoots, moments gathering styling insights, planning, room builds, or pitching your work to cross-functional teams.

  • Developing Nike Product expertise is essential - you will juggle multiple seasons at any given time supporting various internal & external productions.

  • You will build tools and develop brand standards to define styling codes.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Senior Designer Stylist reports to the Styling Director, Nike Sportswear and works end-to-end to define and support the process for how we bring our product to life.

Primary functional relationships include:

  • Concept Design

  • Apparel Design

  • Footwear Design

  • Merchandising

  • Integration

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 3+ years experience as a stylist, visual researcher, or creative partner.

  • Portfolio of work showcasing experience, instinct, and a point of view for the art and science of styling

  • Ability to partner directly and orchestrate collaboration across a network of partners

  • Highly developed curio

  • sity and knowledge of fashion and youth culture

  • A positive mentality with proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Fashion, Marketing, Visual Communications or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in design programs such as Keynote, Excel, Photoshop, Figma, Miro and Airtable a plus.

  • Interest in travel and first hand insight research
