WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Here at Nike European Headquarters we are looking for a Senior Supply and Inventory Planner! As our Senior Supply and Inventory Planner you are responsible for managing the process that secures the right supply to deliver the marketplace strategy. This role requires you to identify and flag the commercial risks and opportunities associated with supply and inventory. You will need a comprehensive understanding of how Nike supply chain operates, ability to explain complex issues in a compelling manner as well as the drive to pursue collaborative solutions should issues occur. You are expected to contribute to an evolving S&IP culture that values diversity, cultivates development, and emphasizes teamwork.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
(Execute) Deliver and execute the buy strategy across all supply chain models. Propose and manage buy decisions to deliver results against targeted inventory objectives to balance healthy inventory with revenue and margin
(Responsive) Proactively address Responsive assortment and opportunities in the buy strategy. Work x-functionally to understand and define healthy ATP levels.
(Stakeholders) Work cross-functionally to ensure successful buying, planning and delivery of your category. Remain pro-active in collaboration, own regular connection points and be a source of information sharing, recaps etc.
(Shape, Plan, Responsive) Collaborate and support the S&I team to leverage shared knowledge to build process, share best practice and functional responsibilities. Be responsible for idea generation and validation.
Work in close collaboration with Inventory Ops and Consumer Inventory Managers, inputting to monthly Inventory Review Meetings and taking a lead in decisions and storytelling to deliver the ‘supply is inventory’ approach.
(Strategy) Understand current business dynamics and priorities and translate those into optimal buy decisions. Identify implications of your actions and the impact to the Planning strategy.
(Problem Solve) Proactively and independently address, resolve, and call out any potential issues affecting the availability of product or inventory health. Lead the collaboration and drive actions across multiple key stakeholders and levels of leadership.
(Projects) Identify and deliver on improvement opportunities to support the strategic growth of the S&IP function. Lead one or more S&IP strategic priorities and be responsible for progress checks and regular updates.
Monitor supply health and communication to key stakeholders. Deliver results vs targeted WOS objectives to drive healthy inventory and ultimately sales and margin
Monitor Marketplace updates and key seasonal brand/product stories collaborating with consumer planning and merch
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work closely with your supply teammates and inventory counter parts to ensure plans and actions are aligned Long Term, Pre-season and In-season. Partner closely with the x-functional Planning teams, including consumer planning and responsive teams to flag exceptional supply risk, highlight opportunities and drive actions to resolve issues. You will work together with Global Supply Planning to understand key risks and capacity challenges. Other key stakeholders are Marketplace Supply Chain, Nike Value Stores, Logistic partners and Merchandising.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience in a supply planning and inventory management focused role
Champion and support the implementation of new ways of working, driving efficiency and adaptability within the team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate complex ideas and engage effectively with a broad range of audiences, including senior business leaders
Proven ability to think strategically, drive clarity and prioritize based on current and future needs of the business and organization
A self-starter mentality, proactive in seeking information and be eager to drive and own end to end communication with results driven mindset
Deep analytical skills, and an affinity for reporting and visualization tools. Thinks beyond prescribed solution and leverages a growth mindset to maximize outcomes.
Understand consumer & marketplace needs from available data and is able to link priorities and actions with market trends.
Provide general support in the manager’s absence including attending meetings or presenting to groups as necessary
Competencies/Expectations:
Be a great communicator. Simplify complex messages and bring it to x-functional stakeholders.
Strong collaborator with a proactive approach to brainstorming and help drive decision making and implementation of action plans
Build partnerships and be an advocate for supply planning across the organization
Experience presenting to groups outside the immediate team, demonstrating the ability to understand differing perspectives and priorities
Lead innovation projects with a focus on ideation and strategic thought partnership
Sharp understanding of the marketplace and KPIs, key drivers, assortment strategy and how to define actions to impact
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments outside the core team
Highly motivated and flexible, proactive approach
