WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager at Partners & Marketplace Engineering - India Capability Centre, who will guide you to grow and build your career path. You will be directly working within a team of dedicated engineers that work on the same solutions. A Software Engineer II will support the team with design and technical guidance. You share your experience and technical expertise such that we improve on the longer-term technical strategic direction.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for Fullstack engineers, who are passionate about crafting great code and building high quality applications with best software engineering principles and standards.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years software development experience

  • Experience working in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment

  • Skilled at frontend framework like ReactJs.

  • Experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, Node, Python, typescript etc.

  • Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure etc.

  • Knowledge on Salesforce application development - ampscript, Apex, SFMC.

  • Knowledge of common design patterns.

  • Experience in Test Driven development - writing clean unobtrusive JavaScript with tests.

  • Experience with distributed processing of large datasets.

  • Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred with tools like Jenkins, GitHub.

  • Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

  • Comfortable working with globally distributed and diverse teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web applications with serverless computing.

  • Experience with monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx, ServiceNow etc.

  • Knowledge on NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB etc.

  • Experience working with relational data stores like MySQL, Oracle etc.

As a Software Engineer II in Partners & Marketplace Engineering organization, you will be part of designing and delivering solutions for various Nike partner experience and platforms to bring best in class consumer experiences to our consumer worldwide. We invest and develop advances in technology and employ the most creative people in the world, and then give them the support to constantly innovate, iterate and serve consumers more directly and personally.

In this role,

  • You will be part of a mission critical team focused on building a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant commerce applications, that drive Nike’s customer engagement.

  • You will be contributing ideas for new features and identifying technical areas for improvement proactively collaborating with product team members at Nike to design, develop, and deploy a highly scalable partner & marketplace system and services.

  • You will use your in-depth experience in software development to write clean, tested, and well-documented code.

  • You will remain current with industry trends and participate in development of key innovation features.

  • You will help the team with continuous improvement in performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, and usability of features by leveraging agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery and continuous improvement.

  • You will work with your local team and geographically dispersed engineering teams to provide technical expertise on development and architecture.

  • You will be responsible for backend development with end-to-end ownership of the product.

  • You will build highly scalable and efficiently performing applications.
