WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The role is part of the Foundational Platform Engineering (FPE) organization,
responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing platform infrastructure that powers critical business applications. The role will work closely with platform engineers, where we drive innovation to enable growth and build the essential tools that power Nike’s success.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an ambitious Software Engineer who is well versed with
Infrastructure as code and Kubernetes with a high learning curve to pick up new technologies. You thrive in a collaborative environment, are excited by cutting-edge technology, and excel at problem-solving. You should be an excellent communicator and operate with urgency and integrity. You will act as a technical contributor.
2-4 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EKS, IAM, S3, Lambda).
Proficiency with Crossplane, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
Understanding of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
Programming proficiency in Golang, with working knowledge of Python, Java, or similar languages.
Solid grasp of CI/CD practices, GitHub workflows, and modern release engineering.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will be responsible for designing and operating platform solutions, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust features.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Crossplane, Helm, and GitOps practices.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Flux).
Integrate and manage AWS cloud services to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Participate in the design and implementation of service mesh architectures.
Collaborate with security, reliability, and product teams to deliver robust platform features.
