You will work closely with teams implementing and maintaining the o9 platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards. Additionally, you will engage with other Global Technology teams to align on both organizational and individual development goals.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a Software Engineer for the Supply Chain and Planning Technology team, you will be part of a mission critical team focused on building a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant supply chain platform that drive Nike’s Digital transformation and growth strategies.
2-4 years of experience in O9 integration, including ground-up development of data pipelines from diverse sources.
Proven experience in O9 implementation and post-go-live feature delivery, ideally in retail, apparel, or fashion sectors.
Familiarity with O9 standard practices, reference models, Integration 3.0, and Big Data platforms.
Strong troubleshooting skills for batch failures and data triaging across O9 integration and tenant layers.
Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow and batch scheduling frameworks.
Exposure to technical architecture decisions involving O9 and its integration with other enterprise systems.
Deep understanding of O9 integration pipelines, tenant-to-Hive interactions, and data flow debugging.
Experience conducting user training, writing and executing test scenarios, and using tools like JIRA and ALM.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, HQL, and IBPL.
Experience working with Parquet, JSON, RESTful APIs, HDFS, Delta Lake, and query frameworks like Hive.
Hands-on expertise in interface scalability, performance tuning, data cleansing, and validation strategies.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps).
Ability to develop and debug Python/PySpark plugins on the O9 platform.
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and collaborating with globally distributed teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
The following would be nice-to-have:
Certification and completion of o9 academy courses on o9 config2.0 (preferably with hands-on experience), mandatory basic and advanced SCS solver courses, and supply planning reference model courses.
Ability to triage and debug batch failures using o9 log screens and to identify and fix data flow and logical flaws within the o9 platform using IBPL.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Software Engineer II in the SCPT organization, you will be a key contributor to Nike’s supply chain transformation by designing and implementing robust data integration pipelines for the O9 platform. You’ll build scalable, fault-tolerant systems that enable seamless data flow across Nike’s global planning ecosystem.
You will:
Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into O9 tenant layers from diverse enterprise sources.
Implement and maintain O9 Integration 3.0 components, aligned with Nike’s planning reference models and big data architecture.
Debug and triage batch failures across O9 integration layers using log screens and diagnostics.
Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to make technical decisions on O9-to-enterprise system integrations.
Build orchestration workflows using tools like Airflow to manage batch jobs and ensure reliable data delivery.
Develop and optimize Python and PySpark plugins for data processing within the O9 platform.
Work with APIs, Hive queries, and IBPL logic to validate and troubleshoot data across layers.
Contribute to performance tuning, data cleansing, and validation strategies for high-volume datasets.
Support post-go-live enhancements and feature rollouts, ensuring platform stability and scalability.
