WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a talented Software Engineer II who can help shape the tools and support Nike’s workplace experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment. This role focuses on engineering and support for multiple employee-facing applications that enable workplace services and enhance productivity across Nike. The right candidate will be someone who can help develop strategic SDLC plans for new builds, ongoing support, and optimization across multiple diciplines including SaaS applications, full-stack development, and mobile applications. Problem solving, issue resolution, and working through ambiguity are part of the job, and we need someone willing to take them on head first. This role provides technical input on security, vulnerability, software architecture, goverance, process improvements, test plans, upgrades, patches, POCs, and more. Working with internal partners and external vendors to maintain Nike’s standards and ensure best practices will be required. In short, we need an overachiever who isn’t afraid to take on big things.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Enabling and elevating Nike’s digital employee experience, you’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, fellow Nike engineers, as well as third party software providers.
Every day, you’ll be working as an engineer to deliver desktop application & mobile solutions, maintain hosted solutions, manage support and enhancements for our existing portfolio of applications, assessing new solutions, building API integrations, infrastructure maintentance, and end-user enagement. Supporting these solutions includes responding to Jira and Servicenow tickets, as well as frequent coordination with other Nike teams, external vendors and our business clients where you’ll represent the voice of Nike Tech to find the best solution for Nike’s needs.
Finally, you’ll be given the chance to improve our current environment, find better ways to work, and grow with every project.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You’ll be part of Nike Tech’s Digital Employee Experience team in Global Technology working with colleagues in the Global Places and Services (GPS), as well as partners from the rest of Nike Tech.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
At least 4 years of experience as an engineer.
Maintain and support multiple GPS applications, ensuring reliability and performance.
Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve them.
Contribute to technical design, integration, and database architecture.
Enforce security, compliance, and architectural standards in system changes.
Participate in performance testing, validation, and tuning.
Provide technical estimates and input for project planning.
A collaborative mindset and experience working in dynamic environments with competing priorities.
A strong foundation in software engineering principles and experience supporting production applications.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, and integration patterns.
Passion for creating intuitive, reliable tools that improve the employee experience
