The Mac and Mobility team, part of Unified Endpoint Engineering globally distributed in Beaverton, OR Netherlands and Greater China, manages over 90,000 macOS, iOS, and Android devices globally. The team collaborates with end users, support teams, vendors, and the broader engineering organization to standardize MDM platform usage, ensuring secure and seamless device experiences across corporate and retail locations.
Who We Are Looking For
Nike is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer (Mac/Mobile) to drive innovation in Mac and mobile device management. This role will shape the future of Apple and mobile ecosystems, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to enhance infrastructure and automation. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for improving endpoint management.
Key Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with a focus on Apple ecosystems (Mac, iOS) and strong hands on with JAMF Pro
JAMF 300 certification preferred
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Ansible AND/OR scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
Proficiency with source control systems, particularly Git.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven leadership in mentoring teams and driving technical initiatives
What You’ll Work On
You will work on design, automation, and optimization of DevOps processes for Apple and mobile platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. Collaborating with engineering, IT, and security teams, you’ll troubleshoot complex system issues, integrate tools, and drive infrastructure improvements. Your leadership will foster innovation, streamline workflows, and align technical strategies with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement automation frameworks for Mac and mobile device management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system reliability and security.
Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Define project roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and balance immediate needs with long-term goals.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance performance.
Influence technical direction and advocate for modern DevOps principles.
Should be available for On-call rotation.
