Software Engineer - Nike Inc.- Beaverton, OR. Design, develop, and test distributed order management system solutions for omni-channel commerce on the Nike cloud platform. Identify design patterns and data structures for maintainability and performance of the system. Formulate solution options, including assessing their relative merits and risks, and work with product managers to determine the best solution. Develop cloud-based web services in a continuous delivery model which are highly scalable, maintainable, secure, and encompassing of Nike’s coding standards. Implement features by leveraging Java or other languages, AWS infrastructure, and new technologies, which meet all customers’ requirements, achieve microsecond service response times per Nike standards, and have a direct impact on the business. Create platform utility tools to support the team and business and to automate processes. Actively participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code to improve memory usage, code reusability, code testability, performance-tuning options, and design patterns. Implement performance load testing for web services and run tests considering various scenarios appropriate for given service level agreements. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems and 2 years of experience in the job offered or an engineering-related occupation. Experience must include:
