WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role reports to the Store Development Director of Japan. This role collaborates closely with Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) and Japan teams composed of cross functional partners from Real estate, Store Team, Retail Brand, Loss Prevention, IT/Tech, Store Operations, Facilities, Marketing, Merchandising. As the subject matter expert in Facility Management, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring operational excellence across Nike Direct Stores.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Territory Facilities and New Stores Specialist leads the execution of Nike’s Store Facility Management and projects across all channels. This individual ensures stores are maintained to the highest standards, with strong cost control and budget alignment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate retail facility management.
- Bachelor's degree in related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects across Japan and diverse cultural contexts.
- Deep understanding of facility management processes, vendor management, and cost control.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support facility maintenance and project execution.
- High level of personal accountability, proactive approach, and ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Strong oral and written communication skills (in both English and Japanese).
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You’ll deliver and maintain a world-class Nike Retail environment for consumers and store teams, while helping to protect the future of sport.
- Manage, maintain, and preserve store environments to ensure optimal conditions for consumers & athletes (store teams).
- Safeguard the brand, store environment, and assets with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Support fleet expansion through new store openings and closures.
- Lead store maintenance, cleaning, and pest control programs in partnership with qualified vendors, ensuring services consistently meet contractual performance standards.
- Own the work order management process, oversee qualified vendor onboarding and performance, and serve as the primary contact for store teams.
- Coordinate cross- functional projects and emergency responses, while managing Operating Expense (OPEX) budgets and reporting.
- Administer Service Channel operations and oversee contract executions as needed.
- Manage store supply orders and vendor relationships, including oversight of the shopping bag program.
- Lead and facilitate project planning sessions (milestone meetings) with cross-functional partners to drive execution for territory new stores opening, remodels, and relocations.
- Oversee store closures by coordinating qualified vendors for store environment elements such as fixtures, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and lighting.
- Implement sustainability initiatives, certifications, and consumer-facing experiences.
