About the Role

You’re a proven, experienced writer — a wordsmith, a storyteller, a lover of language.
Fluent in both Chinese and English, you move seamlessly between the two with precision and intent.

You have an innate ability to adapt to an established brand voice and writing DNA, and to speak authentically to different audiences — from sneakerheads to yogis, footballers to Nike Members, or anyone who simply loves sport.

You thrive in collaboration with creative and marketing teams, yet you’re equally capable of crafting brilliant copy independently — writing words that inspire, attract, and move people.
You can take raw information about athletes or products and turn it into stories that hit deep.

You’ve partnered closely with designers, art directors, and brand narrative experts across digital and physical spaces.
Your portfolio shows mastery of the Chinese language and a sharp grasp of the cultural and linguistic nuances of today’s youth.
Your work is publish-ready, error-free, and needs no copyediting.
You know the rules of copywriting — and just as importantly, when to break them to make your message hit harder.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll create, extend, and adapt creative concepts, copy, and content that elevate Nike’s brand experience across all channels — bringing to life seasonal brand stories that connect emotionally and culturally.

From retail to apps, WeChat to Nike.com, you’ll think innovatively, act strategically, and execute stories that form a full end-to-end Creative Offense.

You’ll craft taglines, hooks, short-form and long-form copy with precision and imagination;
collaborate directly with agencies, designers, and brand narrative experts to build stories and define best practices across digital and physical spaces.
You’ll help shape Nike’s narrative DNA and internal writing guidelines.
Your words will be read by millions of consumers and athletes across the region.

You’ll also bring a strong digital pulse — an instinctive understanding of online culture, internet language, and social trends.
You can tell what’s truly resonant versus what’s just noise.
You understand how your audience speaks, feels, and connects — not to imitate them, but to express Nike’s attitude in their language.

You’ll actively track and engage with Nike’s social platforms, reading the comments, spotting cultural signals, and understanding what moves people.
You’re not just a creator — you’re also an observer and a gatekeeper, ensuring that every word and every story stays true to the brand’s soul while staying sharp to the cultural now.

Above all, you’ll make sure that every piece of communication speaks with an authentic Nike Voice.

You’ll continually build knowledge of Nike’s philosophy, products, and trends, as well as the broader consumer and cultural landscape —
so that every line you write lands with meaning and power.

What We’re Looking For

  • Exceptional mastery of Chinese copywriting — especially in crafting digital-native, internet-savvy, headline-driven creative.

  • Fluent and professional English writing and communication skills.

  • Deep understanding and passion for social media culture, digital storytelling, and language trends.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in copywriting, content creation, or creative storytelling roles.

  • Experience working in a digital creative agency, or within a brand’s in-house internet, social, or digital department is highly preferred.
