EMEA Brand Planning and Operations (BPO) is the operating system of Nike Marketing. We are the backbone that supports all our Marketing functions to deliver big ideas on time and in the most efficient way, through planning and operational excellence. We are a centralized and wired team, Global to Geo to City, across planning and operations, who uphold the operational proficiency required to deliver World Class Marketing.
This role is dedicated to supporting EMEA Brand Creative Retail Design (BCRD): a team of industry experts who design and deliver all aspects of the built retail environment across the full Nike marketplace. We inspire, enable and engage all athletes* through product connectivity, brand storytelling, impactful environments and meaningful service moments. We create retail stores that drive brand distinction and deliver business impact. We aim to make people feel and help them do sport on a daily basis.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As part of the EMEA Brand Planning and Operations team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with many operational experts serving the whole EMEA Marketing organization across a variety of operational disciplines.
This role is dedicated to the Brand Creative Retail Design (365) studio, a team made up of Store Designers, Story Designers, Layout Planners and Project Managers. You will work closely with the working teams in each of these disciplines to ensure the whole studio is aligned against our priorities and working effectively.
Beyond the creative and operations teams, your primary x-functional business partners include Retail Marketing, Nike Direct, Nike Partner Management, Fleet Activation and Real Estate.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a passionate and proactive creative operations professional to work closely with (and report to) the Senior Studio Manager in ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the Retail Design Studio.
Experience in managing the intake and resourcing of creative work (either in an agency or in-house creative studio).
Comfortable managing the administrative duties of the creative studio, including operating budgets, holiday cover, contracting freelancers, etc.
Experience working in a fast-paced and evolving creative environment, supporting teams delivering high volumes of projects.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player, able to develop productive relationships with cross functional stakeholders.
An understanding of (and keen interest in) creative processes. Knowledge of architectural and retail design project lifecycles and creative disciplines would be beneficial.
A strong communicator in spoken and written English, and an ability to synthesize operational detail into clear overviews.
Ability to remain focused, professional and performing effectively in a pressured environment with competing demands and priorities.
Experience in using a variety of enterprise software (MS Office, Keynote, Smartsheet, Airtable).
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will work closely with the Senior Studio Manager in contributing towards the overall intake of work, resourcing and studio health, ensuring the team is running effectively and efficiently, while delivering according to Nike’s creative and business objectives. This work sits across three pillars:
Planning
Overseeing the planning, resourcing and intake of new projects (new store openings, store re-fits, store improvement works and other 365 retail design projects) for your assigned team, guiding and supporting the team through changes to the pipeline.
Maintaining an overview of current and future pipeline planning, ensuring the studio has adequate resource to meet the business needs, forecasting timelines, teams and setting approaches to projects.
Operations
Champion the roll out of tools and processes across the studio, ensuring consistency in ways of working and uptake by the wider studio team.
Build and create new processes where needed.
Supporting the Senior Studio Manager in managing, tracking and reporting the operating budget for our team.
People
Manage administration within the studio, including: operational budget, recruiting and contracting freelance talent, software licenses, manging team holiday and ensuring workload is covered.
Develop a strong understanding of the whole studio team, to be able to effectively resource individuals across projects.
Support with full-studio initiatives around building culture and team connections.
