What will you work on? 

As Specialist II, Retail Marketing, VM, London UK & Ireland you will be part of the London UK & Ireland Retail Marketing function, reporting directly to the Manager, Retail Marketing, VM London UK & Ireland. 

In this role core duties will include:

  • Execution of seasonal and daily Visual Merchandising & Styling ethos and approach across the Nike Sport Marketplace in UK&I to drive inspiration & deliver brand standards, whilst serving the business. 

  • Obsessing the consumer journey through store and making sure the Nike brand inspires London & UKI consumers in an impactful & meaningful way.

  • Driving education & inspiration of store-based VMS teams to drive the best store experience everyday and maintain our standards, partnering with the UKI Field Retail team. 

  • Working collaboratively with our Consumer Insights function, Store teams and UKI Field Retail team to continuously understand how consumers shop, get ongoing feedback & learnings to build this into our executional plans & feed back to our Geo & Global counterparts.

Who will you work with?

In this role you will work cross-functionally in London UK & Ireland, as well as closely with Geo & Global counterparts to ultimately bring our brand & consumer field of play visions to life for consumers. You will be expected to build & foster relationships that produce high-quality work through collaboration, partnership & alignment. 


Primary relationships will include: 

  • Retail Brand 

  • Brand Marketing 

  • Nike Direct Field Retail team: Retail Directors, Head Coaches

  • Stores teams incl. VMS

  • EMEA & Global Retail Marketing functions: VMS, Retail Brand

  • Consumer Insights 

The shape of your day-to-day work will vary significantly, and therefore your style and influence will have to adapt accordingly. You therefore must be collaborative, intuitive, and maximise the effectiveness of individual as well as collective thinking. You must be open to the opinions and expertise of those you engage with to apply coherent strategy and thinking that leads to new opportunities.

Note: this role will require travel across the UK&I based on the needs of the business

What you bring to Nike?

A successful candidate will be expected to clearly demonstrate and articulate experience of the below essential requirements in order to be considered.  Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the competencies also outlined below.

Essential requirements: 

  • Longterm years of relevant experience in marketing, with a strong focus on retail marketing 

  • Prior experience in and a clear passion for the art and science of Visual Merchandising & Styling: a passion for creativity & styling, as well as a track record of commercial expertise 

  • A demonstrable understanding of the London consumer, the city and Nike’s position within it; knowledge of the current retail landscape, latest trends & innovations 

  • Experience working cross-functionally & with multiple stakeholders to drive alignment, influence decisions and drive impact 

  • A desire & willingness to adapt in an agile fashion to our consumers’ and organisation’s needs
