WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Project Specialist partners with Nike Store Construction, cross functional teams, and external vendors to support projects from pre-design through store opening. Reporting to the Project Administration Manager, the role supports new store initiatives and store reinvestment efforts alongside Nike Project Managers.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Project Specialist must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced construction environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the confidence to work across cross-functional teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders while managing competing priorities. The Specialist is expected to track scopes, budgets, schedules, and approvals across multiple projects that may be in different construction phases at the same time. Success in this role depends on strong financial acumen, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, as priorities and requirements frequently change. The candidate must be comfortable working with ambiguity, managing detailed processes such as proposals, legal intake, purchase orders, invoicing, and project closeout. Individuals who struggle with changing priorities, financial tracking, follow-through, or cross-functional coordination are unlikely to be successful in this role.
Required Expertise and Skills:
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial reconciliation
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, change-driven environment
- Proven vendor relationship and coordination experience
- Proficiency with tools such as SAP, Smartsheet, and PlanGrid preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business (finance or accounting), Construction or Project Management. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
2+ years of work experience in coordinator or specialist role, including working within a cross-functional or cross-category team preferred
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You support Nike Store Construction by coordinating new store and reinvestment projects from pre-design through closeout. You manage stakeholders, vendors, schedules, and budgets while navigating complex relationships, changing priorities, and ambiguity with sound judgment and a team-first mindset.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Project Administration Manager and Nike Program Managers to drive execution across multiple projects
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, landlords, vendors, and internal partners
- Manage vendor scope, schedules, and budgets to align with project goals
- Track approvals, milestones, and real estate reviews across program concepts
- Perform monthly budget tracking, cost analysis, and financial reporting
- Document schedule delays, budget risks, and mitigation plans using tracking tools
