To optimize results, Sporting Goods Senior Planners are often a key conduit between NIKE and our partners – their input can shape how Nike and our partners serve consumers. Internally, they will collaborate with a variety of teams, including planning, sales, merchandising, supply chain, finance, and marketing. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Sporting Goods Senior Planners play a pivotal role in bringing Nike’s marketplace vision to life with specific focus on pre-season forecasting, interpreting in-season results/trends, and creating scenarios based on desired outcomes. They establish clear financial plans while partnering with cross functional teammates to ensure assortment offerings are grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer demand. Strong collaboration is key, working both internally and with partner buying offices. Wholesale Senior Planners bring curiosity, a self-starter mentality, influential communication skills, and a strong ability to operate in ambiguous situations. They possess a unique ability to make data meaningful through visuals & storytelling, supported by strong retail, planning, and analytical expertise.
You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
4+ years of experience in Planning/Buying/Sales with emphasis on retail/wholesale financial planning and analysis, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Proven ability to leverage large amounts of data, identify critical information, develop recommendations and influence through compelling communication
Able to think critically and convey the potential of a product in the marketplace while identifying risks to top-down and bottom-up financial plans
Travel up to 15% of the time
