Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer for Salesforce Commerce Cloud to join our growing digital commerce practice. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the technical implementation of enterprise-scale eCommerce solutions while mentoring junior team members and driving technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement complex features on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform Help lead technical direction for major commerce implementations Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical consultation Develop reusable components and establish coding standards Optimize site performance and implement best practices Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions Provide a clear vision to engineering’s value add to the business

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or a combination of relevant education, training and experience
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript, React, and Commerce Cloud Digital APIs
  • Experience with managing and building version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of REST APIs and web services integration
  • Passionate about joining a championship winning team
  • This role is open to remote work option, candidates must be located in one of the following locations (Boston, Atlanta, Beaverton)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with engineering a global, multi-currency, multilingual eCommerce site
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and CCPA compliance Custom application development background
  • Experience with microservices and composable architectures
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
