Nike Threat Management’s mission is to rapidly respond to indicators of self-harm and/or harm to others, assess the credibility and likelihood that violence may occur, and intervene with available resources to disrupt the pathway to violence.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an experienced threat assessment professional to join our team. This person must be capable of building positive relationships with internal stakeholders including HR and Legal partners, law enforcement partners, and external mental health professionals. This candidate will use sound judgment, appropriate best practices, and training to protect Nike.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be working on all matters involving threats, workplace violence, intimate partner violence, suicidal ideation, stalking, and matters involving weapons. You will partner with stakeholders throughout Nike including but not limited to line-level employees/managers, business leaders, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Legal, Loss Prevention, Global Security, and Intelligence teammates.
- The investigator will perform complex and confidential workplace violence investigations and analyses.
- Analyze and assess risks and threats to our people and assets.
- Lead day-to-day behavioral threat activities, including assessment, de-escalation, mitigation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Draft and deliver high-visibility reports, assessments, and presentations, often to senior leaders and partners.
- Establish and nurture intelligence-sharing relationships inside and outside the organization.
WHAT YOU MUST BRING
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and credibility in everything you do.
- This position requires good analytical, communication, and investigative skills both verbally and written. Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to Workplace Violence Prevention.
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field. We will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
- 5+ years of practical experience conducting safety/security investigations.
- 2+ years of threat assessment, risk intelligence/analysis experience
- Mental health training, certification training and/or experience preferred.
- Proven experience conducting physical threat assessments and investigations.
- Experience utilizing social media aggregators, public records databases, case management solutions, and general open-source physical risk/threat databases.
