WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work closely with global and geo merchants and cross-functional teams within product creation, planning, and brand marketing. We also work with finance, operations, and the insights/analytics teams, relying on business reporting for your area which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory, consumer behaviors, and trend.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Lead Merchant to support the Global Tennis Apparel business. This role will help craft the future strategy, develop the long-range line plans, and create seasonal assortments to drive this important silo within our portfolio.
A successful Lead Merchant will thrive and be self-driven to lead their business with autonomy while contributing to an inclusive, positive, and progressive team dynamic. They will operate in a way that elevates the total team.

The merchandising team understands consumer needs and market opportunities to craft a strategy, line plan, and assortments to fuel new opportunities and serve the consumer. WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
5+ years of relevant industry experience in merchandising and/or product creation, in a vertical or wholesale environment.
Footwear, apparel, and/or equipment merchandising experience.
Understanding of retail key performance indicators and profit-based metrics.
Strong strategy building skills that shape the future of the business.
Effective communicator that collaborates and brings people together.
Provides direction and mentorship to teammates.
Values differences and builds positive relationships with high cultural awareness.
Proven balance of art and science in decision-making.
Self-directed, independent, and dedicated.
Cultivates innovation while also ensuring accountability.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You’ll develop and execute strategies that monitor and elevate the health of Nike’s Tennis Apparel business, driving insights that inform merchandising decisions and brand initiatives.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Build line plans that answer the consumer needs while aligning with brand vision and financial targets.
Deliver actionable insights to guide line planning, market opportunities, and assortment decisions for Tennis AP.
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, planning, brand, and geo merchandising to land the plans and assortments in the marketplace.
Ensure head to toe connectivity and deliver on our financial targets.
Create channel level assortments that take into place marketplace capacity, seasonality, and the right balance of color commerciality and energy.
Respond with speed and agility, curiosity, and motivation.
