WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll be part of the CEMEA marketing team, dedicated to some of the fastest growing territories across Europe, Middle East and Africa. With more than 85 countries in total, CEMEA is home to the most youthful and diverse consumers (1.7B pop), as well as some of the best Athletes*, Sport & Cultural moments the world can offer. providing just as many opportunities to bring to life the Nike sport offense. CEMEA has been known over the years for producing some of the most creative brand work, leveraging its complexity and diversity to turn it into a creative superpower. 

The CEMEA team values authenticity, curiosity and a growth mindset. In this senior manager role, you’ll be reporting to the Marketing Director and directly managing the Jordan Brand lead for the region. With his support and the partnership of the central Jordan Brand team, you’ll not only work on the Football and Basketball strategy but also help shape how we connect with the Jordan brand consumer and win across some of the best sport and brand portfolio in the region. You’ll also be working closely with a talented team of marketeers across both EHQ and our territories. You’ll be asked to coordinate with our sports and territory business counterparts as well as our different marketing functional experts including Comms, Energy, Media, Digital and Retail Marketing teams to create impact in the marketplace. Finally in this role you’ll be able to work closely with some the best creative agency partners in the industry to continuously push the edge of creativity.

We are seeking an enthusiastic marketeer with a proven track record. Someone who shares our passion for consumers, youth culture, and sport. The ideal candidate has a passion for Football & Basketball, understand its consumer and the impact of Nike and Jordan Brands have had on the sport and the culture at large. You can craft strategic vision and plans as well as drive clarity with all stakeholders. You can be a strong voice for the region and insure alignment with multiple teams, both centrally and across territories. A pioneering mindset is true of a lot of the teammates working across CEMEA and something we are looking for. A self-starter able to embrace the complexity and thriving to create impact by focusing on the right priorities.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this position, you’ll be asked to orchestrate our long-term strategy for the key sports of Football & Basketball as well as oversee the Jordan Brand strategy and rollout in the CEMEA Region. You will be asked to lead its execution in partnership with various teams and ultimately bring our “Marketplace x Sport” focused strategy to life through our seasonal offense. Some of your key missions will include:

  • Obsess the consumer (WMK) & Marketplace landscape for the key Sports of Football, Basketball & Jordan in the CEMEA region, understanding and translating insights into brand opportunities that take consumers somewhere new in the Sport Offense
  • Drive umbrella strategy for how best to connect with youth in CEMEA through Sport, ensuring we drive Brand Distinction. Localize & originate ideas for athlete* opportunities across sport, media & marketplace moments. 
  • Drive World Class seasonal x-functional brand campaigns to deliver on the umbrella strategy end-to-end across the Geo-City matrix by:
    • Supporting & Building Strong Briefs, Authoring the integrated plan and upholding Brand Standards
    • Driving regular cadence of x-functional communication & collaboration
  • Partner with Global & City teammates to feedback key insights and refine Global strategy – leverage CODE to inform & influence in a timely manner
  • Partner with Geo x-functional teammates (GM, Merchandising, Demand Planning, Strategy) to drive the CEMEA business 
  • Lead, coach and inspire the EHQ-based Brand Marketing team, and support city-based Brand Marketing teammates 
  • Unlock the power of a unified and connected approach with Sports Marketing, Energy and Comms. 
  • Maximize the power of local CEMEA assets in service of the integrated geo marketing plan 
  • Support the Budget across all functions, supported by BPO and our Territories.
  • Cultivate a culture which is anchored in the Nike maxims, and the capabilities of industry leading marketeers:  Dreamers, Doers, Editors, Tastemakers
  • Amplify the vision for our target consumer (across WMK where applicable), architect the brand plan to best connect with that consumer in the Geo context, and drive x-functional excellence in an end-to-end seasonal offense to bring the vision to life.
