  • Senior, Strategic Business Planning

    The Global Trade Excellence Strategic Business Planning team acts as the business and strategy representative for the Geography store channel offense through Global Stores cross-functional strategic moments and drives channel specific and channel agnostic Global Stores strategies. As we build capabilities to support these strategies, the Strategic Business Planning role will play a key part in creating a deep understanding of the Global Stores business across Global and Geography partners. This includes:

    • Delivering the analysis, process and communication of reporting ongoing Global Stores business results by engaging with key stakeholders across functions and Geographies.
    • You will champion and evangelize Global Stores growth in service of our Geographies through ongoing reporting gates, workstreams, and partnerships.
    • You will partner on strategic initiatives within Global Stores Trade Excellence to evangelize and drive Global Stores growth across channels.
    • You will act as a conduit for critical data and insights that will inform the Global Stores business and fuel the needs of Geography teams to deliver for our consumer.

    To be successful, you will build relationships and align across functions and Geographies, ensuring a continued culture of inclusion, collaboration and trust in all interactions. You will need to be skilled at retail business success metrics, matrix management, critical thinking, organizational skills, be process-minded and a self-starter that is equal parts problem solver, communicator and doer. You will set time-based goals and measure results against specific workstreams, but also look for opportunity to evangelize and drive Global Stores growth in partnership with Trade Excellence leadership. Success will be measured by the ability to ensure functions and geographies are equipped with what they need to serve our consumers.

    WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

    In the Strategic Business Planning role, you'll collaborate with Global and Geography teams such as:

    • Global Stores teams: Trade Excellence, Consumer & Concepts, Store Operations, Training & Service.
    • Business partners across (4) Geographies.
    • Global cross-functional teams: Retail Finance, Insights & Analytics, Business Intelligence, Demand Supply Management, Retail Marketing, Retail Merchandising, Membership and Nike Direct Digital.
    • Work with various teams at all levels of the organization to build partnerships across organizational, departmental, and geographical boundaries.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We are seeking an experienced individual for the Strategic Business Planning role, that will partner in driving business accountability to support Global Stores channel offense.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • A retail expert with at least 5+ years of experience in Strategy, Data Analysis, Retail Planning and/or other Retail business experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
    • Passionate about delivering results and driving business growth.
    • An ability to meld the art and science of strategic-thinking and insights to inform data analysis and decision-making.
    • A disposition towards forming relationships and using partnerships to navigate organizational challenges.
    • A detail-oriented and analytical leader who can navigate complex projects, timelines, and stakeholder relationships.
    • A collaborative and influential communicator who can build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and drive business outcomes.
    • A proactive and adaptable professional who thrives in a dynamic, matrixed, fast-paced environment.
    • Must align to Nike’s 4/1 work week, working Monday-Thursday at WHQ Beaverton based campus, Friday option to work from home.

    WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

    The Strategic Business Planning role will partner with Global and Geography teams to ultimately drive business accountability across these key areas:

    • Global Stores Business Reviews: Partner with Trade Excellence, Finance, Insights & Analytics, Concept Leads to establish and refine the process to analyze and report retail performance across key KPI’s, sharing context for hind-sighting and identifying opportunities that inform opportunities for growth.
    • Global Stores Business Opportunities: Partner with Global Stores teams and other Global and Geo cross-functional partners, leveraging business data and insights to quantify impact, feasibility and scalability of critical business priorities. Develop and track key success metrics to measure progress, as needed.
    • Channel Agnostic and Channel Specific Strategies: Collaborate within Trade Excellence and cross-functional teams like Insights & Analytics, Concepts, Merchandising, Marketing and others to deliver seasonal product launch, channel and Global Stores specific initiative performance analysis.
    • Seasonal CODE Intersection: Deliver specific analysis at key seasonal gates, including reporting that informs pre-season, in-season and post-season critical decision-making.
