WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll be part of the CEMEA marketing team, dedicated to some of the fastest growing territories across Europe, Middle East and Africa. With more than 85 countries, CEMEA is home to the most youthful and diverse consumers (1.7B pop), as well as some of the best Athletes*, Sport & Cultural moments the world can offer. providing just as many opportunities to bring to life the Nike & Jordan sport offense. CEMEA has been known over the years for producing some of the most creative brand work, leveraging its complexity and diversity to turn it into a creative superpower. 

In this role, you’ll be reporting to the CEMEA Senior Manager Football and Basketball, and you’ll work closely with the Jordan Brand team as the Jordan lead for the region. You’ll help shape the overall Football and Basketball strategy in CEMEA and more specifically how we will win with the Jordan brand. You’ll also be working closely with a talented team of marketeers across both EHQ and our territories. You’ll be asked to coordinate with Jordan and territory business counterparts as well as our different marketing functional experts including Comms, Energy, Media, Digital and Retail Marketing teams to create impact in the marketplace. Finally in this role you’ll be able to work closely with some the best creative agency partners in the industry to continuously push the edge of creativity.

With its deep roots in basketball, the Jordan Brand began as an homage to one player: Michael Jordan. We are seeking an enthusiastic marketeer with a proven track record. Someone who shares our passion for consumers, youth culture, and sport. The ideal candidate has a passion for the Jordan Brand and understands its consumer and the impact the brand has had on the sport of Basketball, Football and the culture at large. You can shape and adapt the Jordan strategy to CEMEA’s unique landscape and opportunities. You can share this vision and drive clarity with all stakeholders. You can be a strong voice for the region and insure alignment with multiple teams, both centrally and across territories. A pioneering mindset is true of a lot of the teammates working across CEMEA and something we are looking for. A self-starter able to embrace the complexity and thriving to create impact by focusing on the right priorities.

We're looking for someone who can manage multiple stakeholders whilst keeping a laser focus on our consumers and how we can best serve them and elevate our Nike and Jordan brands with a focus on Football and Basketball.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this position, you’ll be asked to lead our Jordan Brand work and support how it comes to life alongside our Nike brand in the key sports of Football & Basketball in the CEMEA Region. You’ll be asked to Support this vision coming to life for our target consumer (across WMK where applicable), execute the brand plan to best connect with that consumer in the Geo context, and support x-functional excellence in an end-to-end seasonal offense to bring the vision to life. Some of your key missions will include;

  • Obsess the Jordan, Football & Basketball consumer (WMK) & landscape, translating insights into brand opportunities that take consumers somewhere new in the sport offense 
  • Execute umbrella strategy for how best to connect with youth in CEMEA through Sport ensuring we drive Brand Distinction. Localize & originate ideas for athlete* opportunities across sport, media & marketplace moments.
  • Support World Class seasonal x-functional brand campaigns to deliver on the umbrella strategy end-to-end across the Geo-City matrix by:
    • Support the execution of the integrated plan
    • Attend regular cadence of x-functional communication & collaboration
    • Support functional plans and uphold Brand Standards.
  • Support Global & City teammates to feedback key insights.
  • Contribute to a culture which is anchored in the Nike maxims, and the capabilities of industry leading marketeers:  Dreamers, Doers, Editors, Tastemakers
